mepis8; can't access repositories
I recently (about a month ago or more) installed Mepis8 on two of my computers. I've been keeping up on the upgrades whenever they are available.
Now suddenly a couple of days ago and since I can't do the updates. The errors I get in terminal mode are: "Could not connect to www.debian-multimedia.org:80 (32.1.73.240), connection timed out", and: "Could not connect to ftp.mepis.com:80 (32.1.73.240), connection timed out" and: "Could not connect to teharris.net:80 (32.1.73.240), connection timed out" and: "Could not connect to security.debian.org:80 (32.1.73.240), connection timed out" Seems strange to me that each of those repositories has the same IP. I thought "nameserver" so went and changed the nameserver on my computer, but it doesn't seem to do any good. Anyone else with this problem? Any suggestions what the problem might be, and how to deal with it? littlejoe5 |
The addresses changed for the repos. You can find out the new repos and how to add them by checking out MEPISlovers.org and look for announcements in the forum section.click that and look for the sticky towards the top of the page labeled community repos-final address. good luck.
