Mepis/64

How is Mepis as a 64 bit OS?

I've been using Ubuntu 12.04 and I think it's coming apart at the seams. When a company sends me a reply to a question that says, it's my problem, it kinda irks me.

I know the Mepis forum members are a very knowledgeable and helpful bunch which has rubbed off on me. I was a clueless Linux user till I tried Mepis back when it was Ubuntu based instead of Debian based like it is now. You'll have to learn to use KDE which is the default Desktop Manager.

I run the lighter version AntiX.

All I can say is there are some pretty computer savvy people running 64bit Mepis Linux.

Best and Latest Isos I know of available from a Mepis user/guide who is well respected, just my opinion. Might be worth trying out maybe.

Good Luck and Happy Trails, Rok

FYI, that's a members-only thread.

I joined the Mepis forum. I've down loaded it and am going to copy it to disk soon as I figure out "K3b". It doesn't say how to copy the iso to disk anywhere I've found yet.

Start k3b, open the "Tools" menu, choose the option "Burn image". In the dialog that opens choose the downloaded image, set the burn speed to the lowest setting and press start.

I downloaded it, but there is NO tools menu. I have the latest version according to K3b.
Confusing, take a look at the latest version and see if you know what is going on.
