Mepis 6.0 CD versus DVD?

What is the difference between the Mepis 6.0 CD and the Mepis 6.0 DVD?

Mepis Dvd

It includes 3 CD's worth of extra packages in addition to MEPIS 6.0. If you've got dial-up only this will help!

Does it come with more drivers? Will this potentially help with my problem of not being able to get Mepis to work properly on my laptop?

What type of extra's does it include? I'm just curious before I buy it, it is two big for me to download. Yes I have dial-up :(

Hmm, it depends. I haven't personally inspected the repos but for dial-up users you can buy the dvd here: http://www.mepis.org/store/sku200

It's $30 but it's $30 well spent. If you can't pay for that then get a Ubuntu disc.

When it comes to downloading a distro on Dial-Up, let me say it can be done.
I have downloaded at least 20 distro's on Dial-Up, I even downloaded the 5 CD set for SuSe 10
I keep reading about how it's to big to download with Dial-Up, I say Bu#lS%^t!

My Secret is that I use MetaProducts Mass Downloader see link http://www.metaproducts.com/mp/mpPro...tail.asp?id=18

With this sorry to say Windows Freeware Program I can start to download a Distro and pause it turn off my computer and restart it next time I am onLine.
Something Like Mepis 6.0 CD takes about 36-40 hours in total to download by using the Evil Side (Windows) of my computer.

Basically what I do is start my download at night before going to bed and while I am asleep I download the Distro I want. Easy!!

Something Like Puppy or Damn Small are ready to be burnt to CD when I wakeup!.:newbie:
