Hi! I noticed that the log files located at /var/log on Mepis 3.4.3 is only temporary. Each time I reboot my machine, the log files is automatically cleared-out. How can I activate this permanently in such a way that it won't cleared out everything after I reboot? The Simply Mepis 6.0 does have logging and does not delete after rebooting.
In Mepis OS Center under "System Tweaks" is a option "Clear system logs at boot" which is marked by default, if you unmark it the logfiles should be kept.
