How do I disable Password for Unlocking Default Keyring in MX-15?

As per the title.

Naturally, I have set user and root passwords.

It is only a minor irritation in MX-15, arising because I set a password for the Default Keyring.

There are plenty of suggestions for doing this in Ubuntu, such as this:

http://ask.xmodulo.com/disable-enter...t-keyring.html

Any suggestions?

ondoho,

Thanks for trying to help.

That particular link refers to certain Ubuntu distros using Dash and seahorse, neither of which are relevant to MX-15.

CORRECTION:

seahorse is relevant (see post #9).

I have looked at the Users Manual and Settings, all to no avail.

Damfino!

That is the Antix forum, mostly the same folks but you'll likely get a faster answer on the MX specific forum (the link I posted)...

ondoho,

You were correct, seahorse was relevant after all!

I had not come across seahorse previously and it was not installed in MX-15.

I installed it and then ran the
Code:
seahorse
command in Terminal to access the GUI, right clicked on Default Keyring and selected Change Password.

It may not be recommended but I left it blank.

Now I have no annoying Default Keyring box and my wifi connects automatically after startup.

If anybody else wishes to know more about seahorse:

Thanks once again.

NGIB,

Thanks for the link to the MX forum.

Thanks to a combination of ondoho and the help on the antiX forum, I have solved my Default Keyring problem.

I will mark this as SOLVED.
