Compile and Install Kaffeine

Hi
Have downloaded Kaffeine 0.8.4.tar.bz2
su ./ configure
New folder Kaffeine
Cd kaffeine type make Kaffeine
No rule to make target Kaffeine

How to install Kaffeine into my Mepis system

The error message makes me suspect that the ./configure script did not finish successfully. Can you post the output of running it? You can also install Kaffeine by doing

#apt-get install kaffeine

root@4[kaffeine]# apt get install kaffeine
bash: apt: command not found
root@4[kaffeine]#

Synaptic installed apt
Not sure how to post output of runing it

It's apt-get not apt get. And apt-get won't install the new kaffeine that you have. You can either compile it yourself or you can get the new kaffeine from this link. It is a deb file so just download it. Then left click the file and kpackage will start up so you can install.
