Adding CD's to Synaptic Package Manager

I have downloaded the three extra CD's for Mepis 3.4.3. When I try to add them in the Synaptic Package Manager I get an error message that it cannot find the CD at /mnt/cdrom. It appears that Mepis mounts their cd's differently from this as this entry does not appear in the /etc/fstab file. I have no difficulty mounting the CD on the desktop and can browse easily to the pool directory where the .deb packages are located. Can anyone help me out please.

Many thanks

Add this line to your fstab, in the static part.
/dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom iso9660,udf noauto,users,exec,ro 0 0

You will have to create a folder called in /mnt/ called cdrom. (as root)
mkdir /mnt/cdrom
