Question xscreensavers that are in KDE screensaver applet not working

After searching the board, Google and Mandrakeuser.org I have found no good answer to this:

The xscreensavers that are included in the KDE screensaver applet (under look and feel) don't work,
While in the KDE screensaver applet I can click configure and test and am able to configure and test the xscreensavers included.
However when I wait for the time out (set at 1 minute for testing purposes, the screen just goes blank.

Based on suggestions found in afore mentioned searches I typed xscreensaver-demo as root (in a terminal window of course). No problem other than it whined that you can't run xscreensaver as root and that the daemon wasn't running.
Then I ran it as my normal user I got the following:
Code:
Warning:
xscreensaver-demo is running as user "normal_user" on host "192.168.0.1"
But the xscreensaver manageing display ":0.0"
is running as user "nobody" on host "192.168.0.1"

Since they are different users, they won't be reading /writing
the same ~/.xscreensaver file, so xscreensaver-demo isn't
going to work right.

You should either re-run xscreensaver-demo as "nobody", or re-run
xscreensaver as "normal_user"

Restart the daemon now?
Where doese this user nobody come from? is it a mandrake thing?
and how the heck do i get it to work?

I also notice that when i use the autocomplete function there is a "xscreensaver.kss" file.

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

There are updates for Mandrake 10.1 Official which fix this. in short, allow it to update everything that needs updated.
