Xen - Virtual Machine - Mandriva 2006 PowerPack

Mandriva 2006 PowerPack and PowerPack+, contains Xen. Xen is an application allowing one physical server to "use virtualization to present the illusion of many smaller virtual machines (VMs), each running a separate operating system instance".

Applications Similar to Xen
Xen is similar to User Mode Linux, VM Ware and OpenVZ (open source version of Virtuozzo. At the Xen website, you can find a comparison of Xen, VMWare and User Mode Linux.

thanks. From what i'm aware of, if Xen's hooks get accepted into the mainline kernel tree as redhat are pushing for, VMware is gonng be in for a bit of a rough ride...
