Unhappy X windows not found?

I'm not exactly a Linux newbie, but not as familiar with the system as some are.

I'm trying to install Tellico and get this "bogus" error about X Windows.

Oh, BTW, here is my PATH.

what that it really said

this output said that you don't have installed the headers of the X windows system, which is different of the binaries. If you are running the windows system you have installed the binaries but not necessary the headers which are necessary for the compilation of a program. So go an install the headers or the source, usually called the "dev" package.

Where are they?

Where can I find a binary or RPM for the latest version of Mandriva?

Sorry to be such a pain, but I looked on the X website and found only source. I'm not sure I have the disk space to download it.

If you have set up URPMI, Installation should be as simple as
Code:
urpmi libxorg-x11-devel

Just an update on things.

I reinstalled Mandriva (whatever the latest version is: <something> Edition 2005) paying attention to the devel RPM mentioned above. The next error I got was "KDE not installed". I reinstalled Mandriva AGAIN (didn't know how to switch desktops ), choosing KDE as my desktop. Next I got various and sundry errors about various packages not being installed. This I know how to deal with, and am currently installed xsml2.<some version>.
