soultaco LQ Newbie Registered: May 2004 Posts: 3 Rep:	X crashes w/Mandrake 9.2, Intel 855 video chipset Hi folks - I have installed Mandrake 9.2 on my new Dell Inspiron 1150, and trying to start up X crashes the system. The laptop has an Intel 855 chipset, which I believe shouldn't be a problem, but there is a patch called 855patch that is supposed to fix issues with it. However, I tried booting into failsafe mode and running the patch first, then going into X, and it still crashes. Any suggestions? Thanks ...
