Angry Wireless issue with T61-sees network but wont connect

I have a Thinkpad T61 that I got a few days ago. I installed Mandriva 2008 Spring One on it and everything has been working fine, including wireless (Intel 3945ABG). Until today. When I first got home from work and booted up, it didn't want to work. It sees the router (as well as all others around), but it just won't connect. At first, I wanted to see if it was the router, so I booted SLED 10 (separate hard drive) and it saw connected without a problem. I then booted back into Mandriva. Still didn't work. I tried restarting a few times after changing one thing here or there, mostly messing with modules so I figured a clean boot would be best. Well, after getting a little frustrated, I undid all my changes and restarted and it worked fine. Ok, I figured it was just a fluke.

But, then about an hour ago, we lost electricity here, so my router went down. When the power came back on, same problem as earlier. This time, I just booted into PCLinuxOS to see how that was running. It connected and worked as advertised. I'm irritated because I really want my Mandriva back (in three days of using it, I've fallen in love with it). Below is the syslog entry for when I tried to connect.

Code:

ifup wlan0 reports:

ifup for the hardline just reports that I'm not on the network. Any ideas? I'm really disappointed because I'm loving Mandrake.

Speaking of which, if any of the developers around here...thank you for making such a great distro! The last time I used Mandriva was back when it was Mandrake. I hadn't realized how far it had come since 1999.

Much like my problems: Keep losing connection in 2008 Spring - wifi and ethernet.

I'm thinking of going back to the previous version of Mandriva, and if I still have troubles, buying a new wireless card.
