Win2000/Linux dual boot
i tried to dual boot Win 2000 and Mandrake 8.1 one same machine. I first installed Win2000 on 6GB FAT32 partitioned and it worked fine. Then i installed Mandrake 8.1. The installation process went fine and I did choose GRUB as my bootloader .However, when I reboot the system, none of the operating system worked. On the screen i only see the word "GRUB" and the nthe computer halt. I tried to boot with floopy disk and it worked and it is the only way to boot my system now.
My system is
P3 445Mhz
10 G HD( 6 for XP,4 for Mandrake)
In 4GB, I partitioned 1.9G for root (/), 1.2 GB for home and the rest for swap.Ayone know what happened? I am a new newbie to this Linux stuff
