Question Why are the letters so far apart in MandrakeLinux 10.0

I just upgraded to MandrakeLinux 10.0 from 9.2. I like it but the fonts seem to be so far apart. It almost looks like it is double spaced? Anybody else have this problem? One more thing how do you end your thread when you have your answer?

Another member had this problem and it turned out to be the fonts - setup or installed fonts.

To end a thread, you simply say "thank you for all your help - the problem is now fixed."
