Which is the faster mandriva 2008 or 2010 ?


Hi
A'm using mandriva2008 and i want to install mandriva 2010 instead ,
but it's important for me to get a good performance system..
I want to know which is the faster mandriva 2008 or 2010 ?

That would depend on a variety of things, hardware, software you're using, what compile flags were used in compilation and if there's a difference between the distributions, what libraries were compiled in that you're not using, etc. Are both running 32 or 64, one running 32 and one running 64? etc.

2010.x is faster because of the use of the ext4 file system, much faster.

That is a gross generalization based on the amount of information we have available and may not apply based on many of the factors I mentioned. There needs to be considerably more information before you can provide an honest answer.

Oh, ok, it has kde4 as well, It's faster if you use the ext4 file system (not standard with an upgrade).
