Where can I find libmp3lame.so for audacity?

if you have installed a package that contains the file, then either

locate libmp3lame.so
-OR-
find ./ -name libmp3lame.so

(find-command will take time, use locate instead)

if you haven't got that on your machine, then go to some site (rpm.pbone.net or rpmfind.net or something), and find a package for you that includes the file, and install it.

or u could setup up urpmi so that u could install it from the control center in software managment

one more thing...if you're exporting files, and don't have any reason to use just mp3 (like if you need it in some certain player that won't play other formats etc), consider using ogg instead...it's "more free" format than mp3, and imo better

of course, nowadays there are many things that force you to use mp3 instead of, say, ogg..like mp3-players that don't support ogg etc..that's a pity :/
