Where are the updates stored on disk?

Hi all,

I would truly appreciate if someone could help me out with this update issue:

a) I ran Mandrake Update and picked all updates available.
b) After all the files had been downloaded, the installation process started.
c) A short while later I got an error message stating some packages couldn't be installed.
d) When running Mandrake Update again, it seemed only a few files had been updated.
e) Now I want to find the RPMs on disk and change Update source since I don't want to download it all again, but I can't find them.

Does anybody know where Mandrake Update is storing the update RPMs after download, and if they all are deleted if an update process goes down the drain during installation?

Thanks a lot
/j.

Try /var/spool/up2date.

Uhm, that sounds a bit like RedHat.

In the meantime self-helpdesk strikes again - I managed to find an answer while running another round of Mandrake Update, which might (or might not) be useful to know:

The files are temporarily stored in /var/cache/urpmi/rpms and everything you download will get deleted after installation or if the installation process fails at any stage. It's a good idea to be prepared copying the rpms while running the update.

Thanks anyway ;)
/j.
