Vnc native X server (":0" X display) on Mandrake 10.1

I'm running mandrake 10.1 and want to access the graphical console running on the server remotely. I have tightvnc-server installed as it comes with mandrake.

I can correctly get vnc working on desktops other than the console ":0"

I have seen the realvnc site that says that either vnc.so o x0vncserver is needed to accomplish this, but these files are not provided by tightvnc-server.

What is the easiest way to obtain compatible files?

I tried to use the files from the realvnc 4.0 but get the errors due to incompatible libstdc libraries.

Thanks
