I have bought ViPower VP-9601 Serial ATA PCI Host card Controller. When I plugged in the card, the system detected it and installed it automatically, here is the output of lspci...

Then I bought a Western Digital HDD, and when i plugged it in, the system didn't detect any disk drives, neither an ordinary disk drive (hde) nor a SCSI drive (sda). So any help would be appreciated, or even a link on how to deal with extra drives.
