I download DVD Mandriva Powerpack from a public ftp, and I was wondering how can I verify if the download file (ISO) was not altered or modify and make sure is legitimate. There is a link where can I see the size or by mdz5
What is the full name of the iso file you downloaded? If you got the file from a public ftp site, chances are that you downloaded Mandriva Linux 2009.1 (Spring), but it is the free version, or Mandriva One.
my thoughts on buying the powerpack it felt good to make a donation to mandriva I guess not bad for 4 years worth of free software but the powerpack its self hasn't made my computer experience any better im still banging my head against the wall apart from it installing the priority graphics driver at install i haven't noticed any differences than the free version. Mandriva expert has solved none of my problems
thank you people, I download the new version 2009.1 and until now is working fine, take some time while because it goes upgrading by itself. Ive never had installed graphical version, and I am seeing that is very helpful when I go to terminal. The version that I downloaded from the public side, (free powerpack) were very dirty, I had million of problems and it started to act weird, so I uninstalled and started new fresh mandriva.
