the same problem
Hello everyone,
I have got exactly the same problem as catfox did. I installed the Mandriva 10.2 (bought an Italian magazine) last night. I have got SIS 630 chipsets installed for video on my laptop. Anybody has encountered the same problem? Thank you! |
the exact message on the console is:
(EE) Failed to load module "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.a" (once-only module, 1360337957). Then the blue screen halts there. |
I also have the same problem on ATI x200 onboard
but try VESA video card and lower resolution setting one step will fix it : ) good luck |
Same on Dell Laptop
Hey all, I just installed Mandriva 10.1 on my Dell Inspiron 2200.
And it won't boot to a graphical interface. I was able to pull up the error going to MCC Then TEST. Getting same error. (EE) Failed to load module "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.a" (WW) No matching device section for instance 9BusID PCI:0:2:1) found Try to change some parameters. ---- has anyone resolved this issue.. I know that i had Fedora Running find on this laptop before in installed Mandrake. Please help.. I know the correct Driver was selected which is the Intel 910. HELP PLEASE........ |
Vesa - generic Drivers worked for me
Ok.. Thank the mcc mode..
I was able to try all sorts of methods.. Because the Intel 915 (which shoudl work didn't) I was able to get it working with the Graphic Card : VESA driver (generic) Monitor: Flat Panel 1024x768 Resolution: 1024x768 8bpp --- (wouldn't work any higher) But when i try the same settings with the Intel 915 Driver But still no sucess with the same settings. But that VESA driver is the ANSWER.. yet only a temporary solution, because when it finally boots into the graphic mode, it's not clear. But at least gives us an option to see if there are any updates to install. Thanks monkeyz |
