USB ethernet adapter

I have a usb adapter at present but the installation disc doesn't have a mandriva or other linux driver on it.
I think it might be easier to buy another adapter than look for a driver and then hope it'll work.
Anyone got a recommended adapter in mind for a laptop?

I wouldn't just let it go to waste . . . surely it would be too much trouble to look for a driver?

Can't find one at all. There are no official drivers on Smart website, only for windows. If anyone knows of a driver or a fix I'd be dead chuffed

i know ndiswrapper is designed for use with wireless NICs, but it has also been know to work on some normal NICs. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try?
