URPMI install CD list
 

I did a stupid mistake by deleting all the list of my software source (including Installation CD) in the mandrake control center.

How can I get it back ? I just want the CD list

Put in the first cd, I think you have to mount it as well, but I am not shure and type:
urpmi.addmedia removable:///mnt/cdrom
Then do the same for the others, it should be as simple as that.

I did this..(thanks to my pal Ray) .using Levei 5 GUI MCC.. did each disk one at a time..make sure you check removable medium....in name i put for example...... Installation CD 1 (x86) (cdrom1) then i browsed to the cd where it was located...it will then find its own hdlist...I repeated that step for every disk... Installation CD 2 (x86) (cdrom2) then browse to where it is ..and then each one after ...if you have any questions ...i will try to help you...although I am also a newbie ...I have been successful in compiling some things too..to use the command line here is a good page for help...explains it in detail ...I also did it in Level 3 command line...using this page for reference... http://www.urpmi.org/man/urpmi.addmedia.html.en good luck ....it gets better all the time with linux....:Pengy:
