Upgraded from 10rc1 to 10CE - Kernel still 2.4.22
Hi Guys
Did the upgrade, but I still appear to be on old kernel version. Two new entries have appeared in my lilo boot screen as (from memory) 263 and 264 What do I have to do to make the 2.64 kernel boot - I assume I will have to fiddle with my lilo config and re-install my nvidia drivers??? Steve |
What does the uname command return?
Maybe you are using the newer 2.4.x kernel that gets installed if you have the LSB option ticked in packet selection. For what I know on a new install selecting LSB will make the system install with a 2.4 kernel. Hope it helps Marcelo |
Its OK I sussed it out.
Make 263-4 the default in lilo via setup program was all I had to do. Then had to download new Nvidia Drivers and install the 2.6.3.4 kernel source to compile against. Also had to play with lilo settings to regain graphical boot (select a framebuffer etc etc) Now running the correct kernel version Thanks Steve |
