upgrade Mandrake 10.0 on dualboot system

I am looking at upgrading my Mandrake 9,1 version to 10,0. My worry is that I have a dual boot system with Mandrake 9,1 and Windows 2000 and I am afraid it might mess up the boot loader.
I tried the unofficial version of 10,0 with Windows 2000, on another machine, and it messed up the boot information for Windows making it impossible (for me!) to boot Windows.

Appreciate to hear if anybody has done this type of upgrade and if they had any issues with it.

twallstr; did,nt have that problem with mdk8.1 dual boot & w98. upgrade from mdk8 -mdk8.1. the trick was left w98 alone just shrunk its size to accomdate linux with larger install space. as suggested by os readme. ? did u attempt to install linux in with w? that is where problem maybe ?best left to expeirenced users.
