Updating 9.1 to 9.2 FTP
 

Hey, can I update my version of Mandrake from 9.1 to 9.2 via FTP? I would prefer someone tell me the GUI way, but if it's not possible then I'll do it the way in which you reccomend :)

FTP? do you mean by urpmi?

Mandrake is not known for easy or working distro grades. It works for some, breaks for most. The only two ways I have tried is by urpmi and with new cd set.
urpmi was made a a .rpm installer/dependency fixer not Distro upgrader.

urpmi and a cd upgrade both broke my system when I tried.

Now I always keep my /home on a separate partition. When I get a new MDK cd set I do a full install not an upgrade. All my settings are saved in my non formated /home partition.
