hi just migrate using win98 to mandrake 9.0 few days ago..
normally i will start from updating security updates.. download some secure software...
i've done all the updates in the control center -> software -> update section..
but when ever i download most of the softwares. RPM packages.. i keep getting error msg on "you need something to install something" when i'm installing it...
is that b'cuz i should upgrade to mandrake 9.1??
and is there any updates i can use to upgrade from 9.0 to 9.1 without reinstalling it??
Distribution: PCLinuxOS 0.93 and 0.92, Vector sometimes

If you download the 9.1 isos, burn to disk, boot from CD, you can choose to upgrade your system instead of a new installation. Takes a long time, though.
