I have setup an LE2005 machine at work for & am having trouble installing updates or software from remote sources. If I use Mandriva's mirror finder & paste the command at the command promt, it adds the source, & I am able to search for software, but when I select software & click install, it shows a progress bar which goes way to fast for it to actually be doing anything & then erroros with "Retrieving failed: wget failed: exited with 1 or signal 0, Unable to install..."

I get the same sort of behavior when I try to install updates, it finds a mirror & shows a list of updates but with the exact same results when I try to install them. I have setup the proxy in the media manager with the ip address & port of our proxy server, & I can browse the internet. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

And you have no problems when you try to install something from the 2005 DVD/CD's?

Installing from CD works fine.
