Trouble with Real Player

I have been using Real Player to listen to a streaming radio program for a long time w/o trouble.Yesterday after the player was launched it freezes up and won't connect. . I can't get rid of it. None of the functions work and when closing down the page it remains with a blacked out face and is still unremovable. Reinstalling doesn't help. What the heck caused that? It does the same thing with Opera and Mozilla.

Is it a certain website or certain file that causes it to crash?

The only one I listen to is "airamericaradio.com". If I new of another one I'd see if it crashes elsewhere. It's been working fine. I tried to install MPlayer the other day and failed but it has worked since so I don't see how that could have anything to do with it. It will crash if launched from the menu w/o even being online.

I downloaded Helix/RealPlayer10 Gold and cured the problem. Never did figure out what happened to cause the problem but the download fixed it.
