What problem are you having? Is it not detected, or can you not configure the network?
Which one of those distros are you using?
thank's for your reply and sorry for my unclear question... the problem is Mandrake did not detect my LAN Card... it's an onborad LAN Card maybe that's the problem.... i dont know... you have any suggestion...
What version of mandrake + what kernel. I am running Mandrake 10 with
abit AN7 (nforce) 2. And that LAN does work, but It has failed on several others.
Mandrake 10 has some other nasty things that is not working - you can read about a couple of things in this forum, but I would either try Mandrake 10 or try upgrading the kernel.
I think kernel 2.6.x kernel would find it. I guess only newer versions of 2.4 will do the same.
But I am not an real expert here - I am just trying to help ....
Making my ethernet work has always been a pain, and when it WAS installed, it conflicted with the onboard sound...all this inded when I installed Mandrake 10.0 CE. Haven't had the faintest hint of a problem yet - everything works smoothly for me (except Wine, but the issue just might be user-based, rather than system-based; could never get the damn thing to work anyway ;-D).
