I did a search, but could not find any info to help me.
I'm trying to burn CD's in 10.1 using Gnome Toaster, but get this message:

Now, it appears that it thinks my CD burner is in fact a hard drive from the top line there. I'm not really sure what to do about it, actually.
I followed the directions on the gtoaster package about how Mandrake no longer uses SCSI emulation, and to run a little script and it would take care of it.
Why don't you give k3b a try. The last time I used GNOME Toaster I also faced lots of problems and ended up with a lot of coasters, I don't know if it's improved since then.
I was actually going to try that program, but it would require me installing KDE as a whole in order to satisfy all the dependencies, so I would like to avoid that if possible.
I think it has something to do with how my drives are configured anyways, and not the actual program itself.
Unfortunately, X-CD Roast does the same thing it always has for me: won't start up. It will pop up with a splash screen that says it's detecting the drives, and then won't move from there. It's done this every time I've tried it in drake 9.0, 9.1, and now 10.1.
I used to use Eroaster, but that's no longer included, and since I have two drives, and I like to be able to copy CD's, which gtoaster used to do nicely for me.
I really appreciate your responses so far, though!

You probably don't need to install all of KDE to run K3b. I use it on Fedora Core 3 using GNOME only, with only kdelibs and qt installed. Maybe things are different on Mandrake, but it would be annoying to have to install a lot of KDE packages just to use one application.
I was going to install it, but about 30 packages said they were needed in order to install it. They were all the basic KDE packages. It even said that the Mandrake Galaxy theme was needed!
Although this is kind of important to me, so I may just install KDE anyways if that program is going to work. I would prefer to not have to, though...
I know why thats the case. Mandrake breaks the default KDE packages into smaller ones, so you will find that most of the packages you need to install, would be libraries that would normally be part of the kdelibs package on some distros. As for the galaxy theme, it's the default for Mandrake and Mandrake always seems to insist you install it if you install KDE related packages, it won't do any harm to install it coz it's quite a small package anyway.

No, it's deffinitely all of KDE, it totals 58MB. I'm installing it now anyways, though, so I'll report back how it goes.
No, it's definitely not all of KDE of coz I have just checked and kdelibs-common, kdebase-common and kde-artwork rpms are 34megs on their own, so if you add up the size of the other smaller libraries as well as k3b itself, it gets well over 58megs.
