Toshiba Satellite Pro 470CDTcannot install Mandiva One/no disc recognition

Have a wipeclean Toshiba Satellite Pro 470 CDT that I cannot install Mandriva One Spring. After the Toshiba page I get Warning Resume Failure Press Any Key. After pressing Enter I get Insert System Disc in Drive, Press any key when ready. When I press Enter it keeps repeating the same message "Insert..." The CD is in.

I have never installed before.

Is you,re media o.k ?
If you burn it you,re self did burn it as iso image file ?
Did you check the checksum

If ronlau's suggestions don't resolve your problem, the most common problems when you get this message with a disk in the drive are bad medium, bad drive, no power. You could check your connector cables and power supply cables to see they are plugged in correctly.
