tools for Palm (gnome-pilot, kpilot, jpilot....)

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hello there;

I am trying to install software to synchronize mi PDA Palm Zire 31 with MDV 2006.
I have tested gnome-pilot, kpilot, jpilot, pilot-link, etc. from the repositories.

I have the programs installed correctly, and they appear in the gnome menu, but when I try to launch any of them, my mandriva does nothing. I click them in the menu, the menu closes and nothing else

All the programs are installed from the MDV 2006 repos, and the system is up to date. In MDV 2005 I got this programs running although I was unable to synchronize mi PDA.

What could it be?? What is happening??

I would appreciate a lot any kind of advise.

Thank you in advance

Regards

Try setting your system to boot with the "noapic" option. I have found that APIC interferes with detecting my Palm Tungsten T3 (and other USB devices, at that).

Edit: I reread your post. The programs themselves aren't working?

Try running kpilot from the command line, and capture/record any error output it gives.

I am usung MDV 2006 for AMD64, I have typed in the console the commands to launch the programs and this is that has happened and what I have done. I have installed the library the system has asked me to, althugh it was for i585.
I would be very grateful if someone could give me a clue:

It looks like you have what you should.

I'm guessing that it might have to do with being 64-bit, but at this point I really haven't a clue.
