Suspend/Standby hangs in 9.2

I recently upgraded from 9.0 to 9.2 an my suspend stopped
working. It now hangs when instaniated from X or from the
console.

Any help would be appreciated from this noobie.

Thane.

I had this problem when going from 9.0 to 9.1. I used the following in my lilo.conf to use real mode apm and it stopped having problems:

image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.22-18mdk
label=2422-18
root=/dev/hda5
read-only
optional
vga=normal
append=" devfs=mount apm=realmode_power_off acpi=on"
initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.22-18mdk.img

The key line is the "append" with the "apm=realmode_power_off"

Good luck

Thanks for you help enlight1 but when I tried those settings the laptop battery app (that's what I used to put it into stanby) said I only had partial ACPI functionality and would have to recompile my kernel.

I then merely added the apm_realmode_poweroff to what I already had in the append line and came up with this:

append="devfs=mount apm=realmode_power_off acpi=ht resume=/dev/hda6"

and this allowed me to use the battery app but it still hung. FYI - /dev/hda6 is my swap partition.

Well I guess thats the fun of using the latest and greatest.

Thane.
