Supported?

I was thinking of switching from windows XP pro to this new mandrake linux version (10.0), but I wanna make sure that my hardware is compatable first, and there is a couple things I coulden't find on their supported hardware page.

gfx card - NVIDIA e-GeFORCE FX 5200
mobo - ASRock K7S8XE+

If someone could tell me if these are supported or not, thatw ould be great .

And is the CD-ROM the only hasrdware that Mandrake Linux can mess up? everything else will just.. not work right while on Mandrake Linux, but will work just fine on Windows?

Thanks
Kyle

Yes, both your graphics card and mobo are supported

ASRock K7S8XE+
Nvidia FX 5200

The CD-ROM problem was associated with LG's branded CD-ROMS (and some others, can't remember right now) and 9.2. It shouldn't apply to you, even if you have a LG, since you are installing 10.0.

As with the everything working right, can't say until you give it a go and install it. If you do run into any problems, you already know where to go and get help .
