Stuttering Sound in MDK10
 

I have just upgraded from 9.2 to 10 official, I run it on a Sony VAIO PCG-735 and have had 9.0, 9.1 and 9.2 on this machine.

The set up of the sound has always been a bit fiddly but by using sndconfig and using one of the Soundblaster cards I have always managed to get sound.

My problem is when I use Realplayer the sound skips and I am now unable to listen to the radio, but when I use Freeamp to listen to mp3 files the sound is stuck on about 0.5 second of the track and is in an endless loop. I can move it forward but the section of the song that it repeats just changes.

Any thoughts out there, I know there are many threads for sound problems and I have read through lots but nothing seems to address this particular issue.

Its now fixed, though I had to downgrade back to MDK 9.2, where sndconfig found a working card. Must be something in the 2.6 kernel that throughs the machine into a wobbly

i had sound problems with 10.0 and the 2.4 kernel series when playing videos in xine.. i know this probably has nothing to do with anything but i thought id pass it along.. i havent tried the official download version yet.. dont know if im gonna download it or pclos V7 or slack 10.0rc1..
