I've just upgraded to the 2.6.3 kernel, and also upgraded my nvidia driver to the newest release. But something very strange is happening...

I tested the new driver with tuxracer, and it ran very choppy... however, when I run tuxracer from the command line it works flawlessly!

I'm puzzled... in both cases I run Tuxracer as a normal user, not as root. Not only that: my videocard is a Geforce FX5200, but the TV out isn working! In fact, it works during the boot proccess, but as soon as X starts the tv display stops working... ideas?

Hmm.. Probably a bug or something. Does it help if you set the menu entry (or .desktop file or whatever you use) to run in terminal?

You can also test if the driver is working by running glxgears in a terminal. If the fps is over 1000, it should work.
