Strange Gnome/X Behaviour
 

Running Mandrake 9.1 with Gnome 2.4 (just upgraded with urpmi). Screen resolution 1280x1024. Here's the issue:

Following the upgrade to 2.4, all icons and fonts suddenly look huge in comparison to before. A quick check in the Gnome control center shows no changes to the font sizes or to the screen resolution.

I seem to remember something like this in the past with the setup of XF86, but a cruise through the documentation didn't give any pointers. It's as if my screen resolution dropped down to 1024x768.

Any pointers would be helpful....
