Question splash screen problems


im using mandrake 10 and kde 3.2, i recently downloaded a splash and put it in ~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/pics as the How to said, the problem is when i select another splash from the control center it doesn't works the one i put in keeps showing i tryed deleting it but nothings happens, what can i do..... is there any way to restore the original setting.

btw sorry for my very bad English.

Did you try using the "Defaults" button on the bottom of the Control Center splash screen chooser? That is intended to restore the original settings, so hopefully it works.
