Soundblaster Live and onboard C-Media

I have an onboard C-Media soundcard that I don't use, and a soundblaster PCI card that I do. If I remember right I had to disable the C-Media in windows to get the soundblaster to work. In mandrake there's no option to disable it, and if I disable it in the bios mandrake still uses it. It has detected and put drivers for my PCI card too but I get no sound out of the PCI card even though I have checked the mixer settings are up. How can I make mandrake use my soundblaster and not the onboard sound?

I had the same problem, and was told to turn off onboard sound in BIOS.
It worked.:)

It already is disabled in the BIOS. Mandrake seems to ignore this and still use it.

My bad. Forgot to say that Mandrake uses the Audigy sound module as default. Didn't work on my machine.
On install I've learned to choose Emu10k1 as the sound module. There must be a way to do this in mcc, but I haven't found it.
Maybe try the install cd and choose "update"?
