slow boot up

during boot up the system seems to stop for about a minute,the last line is mount usb filesystem ok,i have installed fc3 and suse beforew without this prob.also my webcam and printer are not seen by the comp.any advice.

First thing you should do (if you havn't already) is to configure urpmi and install any updates.

If that doesn't fix the problem you may have to go into the bootloader section of the mandrake control centre and make a couple of easy changes.

Once the computer boots up does it run OK? or is it unusually slow?
