should I install mdk 10 with 2.4 kernel?
 

Hi,

Just tried installing mdk10 on my compaq armada 7400 laptop. It failed with 'no cdrom detected'. After reading a few posts it was suggested to use 'alt1' which is the 2.4 kernel.

I'm a bit lost as to whether I should go down this path or just stick with 9.2? I don't want to finish this install and find a bunch of incompatabilities such as sound not working, crashes etc.

Please advise...
