Does mandrake 9.1 support WD's SATA drives?

I am building a new computer, and will be installing two WD Raptor SATA drives in a RAID 0 config and want to know if mandrake or any linux distro supports this. I have used linux for a while via my virtual server that runs my websites, however I am rather new to using linux as a desktop solution... but since MS has decided to favor C# and .NET over ANSI/ISO C++, I decided to toss Windows and use linux.

Just too add in a little rant, want to say I think C#, Java, and VB are the worst things to ever happen to the development community.

Good on you! All of my webservers run linux!

Linux does support SATA drives. Though there are a few issues, I would search for some info on the board and the drive about linux support. Sometimes you need to patch the kernal.
