running the new 2007 beta

Well I did a fresh install of the beta today, and I like the slightly different look to it. Everything else seems the same. Nvidia drives install fine it doesn't lock up every now and then like 2006 did for me.

Only thing that won't work is xgl or aiglx. aiglx is greyed out and I can't select it, I read somewhere the latest nvidia drivers don't support it. And if I choose xgl, gnome fails to load something wrong with compiz. So hopefully they will get that figured out soon. Also, figured I'd post the error:

Overall, seems like a good release though.

Anyone else have any problems or experience with it?

I'm using it on one of my machines, and I agree most things are good.

But now given the chance..., My ati (9800pro)card is not configured at all and I have to use FrameBuffering to see the GUI.

My wireless card (dlink dwl-g510) won't go in linux (posting from M$)

My cannon ipx1000 printer (usb) is recognised but no module, so it dosen't work and

I can't login as root.

But other than that.... all good!

Its saying your graphics card driver does not support the GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap command
