RPMDrake or URPMI

Hi, I just installed MDK 10 on a test machine and I like it so far (Not as much as SUSE though!) but im having truble installing programs, i download a program, go to configure install software,type the name in and search but it wont find the software! I dont know what to do. Im trying mandrake cuz i heard its easier to install programs either through RPMDrake or URPMI but im not having any success with RPMDrake(Unless im doing somthing wrong) and I dont know how to use URPMI.
Any Help?

You can right click on the rpm and then choose "open with install software" and then you'll be prompted for the root password and your package should install and if it can't you'll get a reason why it wasn't installed. I think double clicking an rpm works in a similar way to the above method.

Thanx ill try right clicking. i tried just double clicking but it has an hour glass that pops up then nothing happens and the hour glass goes away.

Go to the Easy Urpmi site and follow the instructions to set it up.

Then, all you need to do is type as root in console: "urpmi <package name>" and your package will be installed along with any dependencies
