RPM help
 

i downloaded new packages for my mandrake 9.2 but thwne i open them nothing happens but them asking me for my admin password, which i then enter correctly, then nothing happens.

what is going on, i have like four package managers installed and they all do this,
why!

Try as root, cd'ing to the directory where you downloaded the RPMs and use the urpmi command. Using tab completion can save you some typing. By installing it from the shell, you may get better feedback as whether the install worked, or if not, why.
