Root login not allowed

Does anyone know how to change the security root login in Mandriva 2008 to login to a GUI interface I used to be able to login as root in earlier versions of Mandriva and now root access is not allowed. Normally I login as SU at the command line but I accidently created a directory with a space between two words and can't remove it on the command line. As a user if I create a file with a space between words in a GUI interface I can remove it. Hope someone can help me I have looked at all the boot and access.conf files to allow access with no success.

login as normal user

open a shell

Code:
su

gives you a file manager in web browser mode....change the address bar to /(pathway to offending dir or file) and delete it

Hi, Mandriva have tightened security by not allowing root login by default.

But you can change it, A quick search of these pages should give you the directions (It's been discussed before) to do so if required.

Cheers, Glenn
