Rip and encode cd
 
I need help with Grip, I donīt have lame installed on Mandriva 2005.
Iīm totaly lost now. I can rip with slackware but not with Mandriva.

If you don't have lame installed, why don't you install it? Or are you teasing me? It comes with every OS. DrakConf, software installation.

Solution ....
 
I downloaded lame from http://www.rpmfind.net/
lame-3.96.1-1mdk.i586.rpm and just installed it.
Only you have to do is the grip settings for encode it to MP3,
if you dont look at settings it will make ogg.
It works fine and fast.

Easy as your solution was, it could have been even easier if you went to http://easyurpmi.zarb.org and setup your sources. Then, just type: urpmi -app to download, or launch Mandrake Control Center and go to "Software Management" then "Install". Makes thousands of apps available with a few keystrokes, or mouseclicks.
