Cool Replacing motherboard/processor without reinstall

Anyone have a procedure for replacing motherboard/processor without reinstalling Mandrake?
I am running Mandrake 9.0 on a motherboard with an Intel 700MHZ Celeron and looking to upgrade the Motherboard and processor. I would like to know if there is any preparations I can take before removing the old motherboard that will make Linux upgrade to the new one smoothly without having to do a full reinstall. Thanks in advance for any advice or directions to any FAQs/websites with helpful info.

Most likely it will run properly on first bootup if the drives are in the same positions in the ide chain.

Thanks for the reply. It will be a few days before I get to installing the new board, but I'll let you know if it goes smoothly.
