Removable disc probs in mandrake 10.0

whebn ever i boot up mandrake, it places an icon for hard disc on the desktop (this is my flash drive). When i actually insert the drive, it pops another icon on the desktop, saying hard drive 2. In other words, i permanatly have a icon on the dektop for the removalable disc that does nothing as it creates a new icon when i insert the disc. How can i remove this udless icon? I tried unmount, but i have to be root to do this and when i boot on as root, there are no icon ont the desktop.

Do you get two entries in /etc/fstab for these icons? If so, what?
